Ingredients:

For the Dough:

– 2 cups of all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– Water, as needed

For the Filling:

– 1 cup of crumbled paneer (cottage cheese)
– 1/2 cup of finely chopped cabbage
– 1/2 cup of finely chopped carrots
– 1/2 cup of finely chopped bell peppers
– 1/4 cup of finely chopped onions
– 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
– 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
– 1 green chili, finely chopped
– 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup
– 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
– Salt, to taste

For the Dipping Sauce:

– 1/4 cup of tomato ketchup
– 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon of vinegar
– 1 teaspoon of chili sauce
– 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar

For Garnish:

– Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
– Spring onions, finely chopped

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and pliable. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 30 minutes.

2. In a separate bowl, mix the crumbled paneer, chopped vegetables, onions, garlic, ginger, green chili, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.

3. After the dough has rested, divide it into small balls and roll them out into thin, circular wrappers using a rolling pin.

4. Take one wrapper and place a spoonful of filling in the center. Carefully fold the edges of the wrapper, forming a half-moon shape, and seal the edges by pinching them together. Repeat until all the wrappers have been filled.

5. Place the Paneer Momos in a steamer and steam them for about 10-12 minutes, until they are cooked through and the dough is cooked.

6. In the meantime, prepare the dipping sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the tomato ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, chili sauce, and honey or sugar until well combined.

7. Once the Paneer Momos are cooked, carefully remove them from the steamer and arrange them on a platter. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and spring onions.

8. Serve hot with the dipping sauce on the side.

Enjoy the delicious and flavorful Paneer Momos with your loved ones and savor the taste of Nepalese cuisine.
